You must be at least 18 years old and in good standing with the American Kennel Club. You must attend two (2) HLRC events within one year (our calendar runs from November to October).  One of these events must be a membership meeting.  You must sign in with the recording secretary at the meeting and with whomever is in charge of the event to tell them you are seeking membership. After completion of the events requirement, you will be sent a membership packet containing an application, a copy of the HLRC Bylaws, and a copy of the HLRC Standing Rules/Special Rules of Order. If you agree to abide by the club's rules and regulations, then return the completed application and a check for a year's dues to the recording secretary. top
