ATTENTION LABRADOR RETRIEVER OWNERS

THE  HOOSIER LABRADOR RETRIEVER CLUB,INC.

 

Will be Holding a WC (Labrador Working Certificate) Test on Saturday , October 02 , 2010 .

ONLY QUALIFYING AKC # LABRADORS will receive

the LRC Working Certificate application.

                                                

We will be offering  the same WC testing (for practice)  for all other breeds  as well, to get the

experience so please come. Labradors will take testing position prior to another breed  if necessary .

Glenn’s Valley Conservation Club is a huge place with open fields, and nice working water ponds.

Plenty of land to do the field work on .  An opportunity to get your dog out and do some training

for your hunt tests this fall .

 

The competition will have land and water retrieves.

Chuckers and ducks will be provided for the tests.

 Please arrive early for judge’s instructions Time: 9:00a.m.

 

Land retrieves start  : 10:00 a.m.  (1st) only dogs that pass the land retrieves move onto water retrieves.

Water retrieves start:   after land test is done (2nd)

Cost:   $26.00  per dog entry

 

Pre registration is required.  Entries must be in by noon Wed,  September 22, 2010  .Make checks out to HLRC .

If time allows on the day of  competition and a dog  does not pass the water retrieve  on the first try .

The dog may be re-entered to try again  after all others  run  for an additional  $26.00 fee.

 

Bitches in season on  day of  testing  will be allowed  but only  after all others  have

 run the  competition . Please notify the WC chairman first thing . Please be patient .

All qualifying dogs will receive a qualifying  ribbon from the HLRC.

 

Lunch and refreshments will be provided  on the grounds. Lunch break time will be announced on day of testing.

 NOTE* No electronic collars may be used on the test grounds.

The WC will be held  rain or  shine.

If you have a preference of running early or late, we will try to accommodate – no guarantees.

Directions:

 

Glenn Valley Gun Club:

Take 1-465 around to the South and Exit on St.Rd. 37 South (towards Bloomington/ Martinsville) ,

travel south approximately 11.8 miles (Waveland , In ) . Make a left (east) on to Waverly Road off St. Rd. 37 ,

and then  the Gun Club will be half (1/2 ) a mile on the left  hand side of the road. Look for then pass the small

grave yard on your left . A sign saying Glenns Valley Conservation Club is present . It is up a dirt lane leading

up over a wooden bridge to the site .

 

 

You are encouraged to have the following equipment

Bring adequete clothing  for conditions , chair, crate , fresh water for dog, shade cloth ,

flat buckle collar and 6 foot lead , sun screen.
